Approved 1080p, 60 fps guided film with narration and captions. Real sample-file captures are reframed with editorial camera motion; this is not a scan-speed benchmark. The native Windows interface, shown with sample files rather than personal drive contents.

The problem
A nearly full drive should lead to an understandable decision. Free capacity alone does not explain which files matter, which copies are duplicates or what a cleanup action would actually change.
The stack, layer by layer
Rust reads Windows file metadata. SQLite remembers completed inventories. React and TypeScript organize the interface. D3 lays out the hierarchy in a worker; PixiJS draws the map with a graphics fallback. TanStack Virtual bounds the file list, Motion handles transitions, and Tauri hosts the desktop, tray and updater. CLI and MCP adapters share the local engine.
From a map to a reviewed action
Separate Windows total, used and free capacity from discovered logical size and allocation. Inspect file previews, reveal paths in Explorer, compare duplicate content and choose a copy to retain. Review recycling, ZIP copies, NTFS compression or category-folder organization before applying an exact plan.
The corrections that made it usable
Steady map colors, retained drive navigation, compressed inventory snapshots and removal of the former entry ceiling address repeated work. Version 0.5.1 reopens the last selected drive or folder, including preferences from earlier versions, with visible loading and recovery instead of returning to the welcome page.
Release engineering and acceptance
Signed and timestamped NSIS packaging, desktop shortcuts, close-to-tray behavior and a signed update feed complete the delivery path. Native startup and stalled-loading tests, website visual checks and an actual 0.5.0-to-0.5.1 updater download passed. Modified installer bytes were rejected. A download check is distinct from clean-machine installation coverage.

Scope and boundaries
First scans of large drives can take time. Saved inventories are snapshots, not an automatic incremental index. Scheduled scans require the app or tray process to be running. Agent access exposes scanning and metadata queries; autonomous file changes are not enabled.
