Public v1
The deployed marginflip.com home page: Your margin, made actionable. The dashboard is labelled as sample data and the calls to action lead into the public preview or its explicit access boundary. The dashboard shell using screened sample records. It exposes operating context without claiming an active customer account or production data connection.
Responsive proof
The same public v1 at 390 by 844 pixels, with a single-column hero, contained actions and no horizontal clipping.
Operating workspaces
Projects turns sourcing candidates into a reviewable operating workspace while keeping permanent account storage behind the documented persistence boundary. The 30-day Expenses view uses synthetic records. Receipt status exposes presence only; no private file or customer record is shown. Inventory Record keeps identity, cost, valuation, listing and sale history as separate records so true margin is not reduced to one mutable price field. Listings preserves channel, quantity, potential margin and timing signals while the public preview stays synthetic and local to the browser. The Intelligence view uses illustrative research records and reported confidence, not live feeds, proof, AI generation or financial advice.
Case study
The problem
Sellers know what they paid and what an item sold for, but fees, tax, shipping, expenses and drifting exchange rates hide the true result. MarginFlip is the operating record that answers what is profitable, what capital is stuck and what deserves attention next.
Architecture
The React and Vite product shell and same-origin Hono API run on Cloudflare Workers. D1 is the transactional store, R2 is reserved for private media and hosted project revisions, and Workers KV handles revocable sessions, limits and caches. Money is stored as integer minor units and historical exchange rates are retained rather than recalculated later.
From HypeList to MarginFlip
The earlier HypeList prototype is preserved as project history, but Flask, Firebase and dual-storage are not the current architecture. MarginFlip rebuilds the product around financial correctness, owner-scoped authorization and a clear free-versus-hosted persistence boundary.
Where it is now
The public site, sample dashboard and substantive inventory, listings, sales, expenses, intelligence, projects and account-security workspaces are live at marginflip.com. Authentication and provider-backed customer operations remain deliberately dark until their production gates are approved.

Scope and boundaries
The public product shell and sample workspaces are live at marginflip.com with authentication disabled. Sample changes stay in the current browser tab. Permanent project storage, signed-in use, production customer data, email, billing, AI providers and marketplace connections remain inactive or operator-gated.
